Terms of service
Draft, pending legal review
This has been written against what the product genuinely collects and does, and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer qualified in Indian data protection law. Placeholders in square brackets are facts only Kaziyo can fill in. Do not rely on this as advice.

1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [CIN], and the company that has been given access to Kaziyo. Where they say "you" they mean that company, not the individual reading this.
2. Access is by invitation
There is no public signup. Access is granted by us, to a named organisation, and may be withdrawn if these terms are broken. An invitation is not transferable to another company.
3. What we provide
Hosted software for hiring, employee records and policy acknowledgement, as described on our website. We may change how it works. We will not remove something you depend on without telling you first.
During [DEFINE: early access period, pilot, or paid subscription], the commercial terms are [PRICING AND BILLING TERMS TO BE SET]. Nothing on this page commits either of us to a price.
4. Your data stays yours
Everything you put into Kaziyo, and everything your employees and candidates put in, remains yours. We do not sell it, we do not use it to train models, and we do not use one customer's data to improve anything for another. We process it to run the service and for nothing else.
You can export your data at any time. If your account ends, we will return or delete it within [PERIOD].
5. What you are responsible for
- Being the Data Fiduciary for your employees' and candidates' personal data, including having a lawful basis to hold it and answering their requests about it.
- What your administrators do with their accounts.
- The content you publish through Kaziyo, including job descriptions, careers pages and policy documents.
- Hiring decisions. Kaziyo scores and summarises to help a person decide. It does not decide, and you must not treat it as though it does.
6. What you must not do
- Use it to hold personal data you have no right to hold.
- Attempt to reach another customer's data, or test our isolation without asking us first. Ask, and we will usually say yes.
- Resell access, or use it on behalf of a company that has not been invited.
7. AI features
Some features send text to OpenAI to produce a score, a summary or a draft. They come with the reasoning behind them so you can check them, and they are sometimes wrong. Treat every output as a draft written by somebody who has not met the candidate. Do not make a hiring decision on a score alone, and be aware that doing so may put you on the wrong side of employment law regardless of what these terms say.
8. Availability
We aim for the service to be available whenever you need it, and there is no contractual uptime commitment during [EARLY ACCESS PERIOD]. [SET AN SLA BEFORE CHARGING FOR THIS.]
9. Liability
[LIABILITY CAP AND EXCLUSIONS TO BE DRAFTED BY COUNSEL. This section deliberately has no placeholder wording, because a made-up limitation clause is worse than an obviously missing one.]
10. Ending it
You can stop using Kaziyo whenever you like and ask us to delete your data. We can end access if these terms are broken, and except in a serious case we will give you [NOTICE PERIOD] and a chance to export first.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction. [CONFIRM SEAT AND WHETHER ARBITRATION IS PREFERRED.]
